Naturopathic Forms of Treatment

Bach Blossom

This therapy takes its name from its discoverer Dr. Edward Bach, born in 1886. He came to the realization that the real cause of illness was to be sought not so much in the many manifestations of physical symptoms, but rather in the negative psychological states from which human beings can suffer. Bach flower remedies are liquid plant extracts that act positively on emotions.
The all-natural Bach Remedies help to better balance our moods at certain events and therefore stay in harmony with ourselves. Bach devoted the last 10 years of his life to developing 38 flower tinctures that help us better balance our emotions and feel at one with our lives. In addition, Bach also put together a combination of tinctures that is probably the most famous of all: Rescue, ideal for exciting situations and stressful moments.
Using Bach drops gives no harmful or unwanted side effects, are not habit forming or addictive and can be used alongside other forms of therapy.

Oligo Advice

The Greek word "oligo" means little or small. Oligotherapy therefore means therapy of small amounts.
Oligo elements are minerals that are only found in our bodies in very small quantities. They are therefore also called trace elements. When metabolic functions are disturbed, very small amounts of trace elements are given.
Although the total amount of trace elements in an adult body fits on a teaspoon, they are very important for controlling our bodily functions. This is because they activate enzymes.
Enzymes are the body's own protein compounds that act as catalysts for metabolic processes, in digestion and cellular respiration. A deficiency of trace minerals can block our enzyme system, weakening the immune system.
The cause of trace element deficiency often lies in the gut. A balance of good and harmful bacteria and fungi exists in a normal gut flora. The balance can be disturbed by inadequate nutrition, heavy metal load, excessive use of drugs, alcohol and stress.
Important trace elements include chromium, fluorine, iron, iodine, copper, manganese, molybdenum, selenium, cobalt and zinc. Because the body does not make the trace elements itself, we serve them through herbs.
Herbal medicine, also called phytotherapy, is the treatment of health complaints and diseases with herbal remedies.

Ear Acupuncture

Ear acupuncture or Auriculo-therapy is a modern Western method of acupuncture and consists of placing small needles on certain points on the auricle.
These points are reflexively connected to certain parts of the body via the central nervous system. The intention is to activate the body's self-healing ability.
The auricle of a person is a reflex area of the central nervous system on which physical and psychological complaints are reflected.Through the placement of needles, the body's self-healing ability is activated. The needles remain in the ear for a certain period of time.
Ear acupuncture can also be used on an emotional level. Inner unrest, nightmares, panic attacks or sleeping problems in both children and adults can be treated with ear acupuncture.

Ear Candles

Ear candle therapy is an ancient therapy already used by the Hopi Indians. It is a supportive therapy with a very broad effect, which can be used in the improvement process of various ear, nose, throat and (other) head complaints, such as migraines. The therapy involves cleansing the ears using a hollow candle, specially made for this purpose.Herbs with relaxing or medicinal properties are often added to ear candles.

Only a small portion of the candle sticks into the ear and does not hurt. Most of the candle sticks out of the ear.The candle is not burned whole, but to about 10 cm above the ear canal.

How it works
During the burning, several phases can be distinguished in the action of the candle.
The "chimney effect" creates a slight negative pressure in the external auditory canal. The flame causes the air column (in the ear) to vibrate. This slightly massages the eardrum and in turn ensures that the pressure in the middle ear is (better) regulated.
During the burning of the candle, a slight negative pressure is created in the external ear canal and the heat intensifies. The heat causes the acupuncture points in the ear to be stimulated.
The pleasant heat also stimulates blood flow and lymph flow in the ears, throat, nose and sinuses.
The burning creates a soft rustling sound. This sound combined with the beneficial warmth of the candle creates a relaxing feeling.
The herbs in the candle also have an effect on the middle ear, the organ of balance, the cochlea and the organ of Corti (via the tube of Eustachius), the mouth, throat, nose, and sinuses.

Indications for ear candle treatments include:

  • Frequent inflammation in, or irritation of, the pharynx, nose, forehead, and sinuses
  • Ear pressure
  • Blockages
  • Sore throat
  • Starting colds
  • Stress symptoms
  • Nervousness
  • Insomnia
  • Tinnitus
  • Headache
  • Inflamed tonsils

Application for ear candles is not recommended in cases of:

  • A perforated eardrum (tubes)
  • Acute ear infection
  • Implanted ossicles
  • Eczema or fungal infection in the ear
  • Epilepsy patients.

Quantum Allergy

Quantum Allergy is a natural method that uses testing and resetting distortions to bring the body back into balance for symptoms such as allergies, intolerances and other stimuli. Every organ and cell has its own unique vibration, also called frequency. This vibration can become unbalanced due to a reaction to one or more substances for whatever reason. This creates an allergy or disturbance in the body that leads to complaints.
Disruptions include ingested substances (food, drink, medicines), inhaled substances, contact substances, injected substances (vaccinations, insects), viruses, bacteria and fungi. In addition, physical, emotional and genetic influences may also play a role.
The disturbances can manifest themselves in the form of allergies, intolerance, hypersensitivity, but also other physical and emotional complaints such as ADHD, asthma, blood pressure problems, abdominal pain, bronchitis, diarrhea, eczema, flu, cavity/ear infection, cough, hay fever, headaches, itching, knee pain, learning disabilities, pneumonia, migraines, earaches, rheumatism, spastic gut, fungal infection, fatigue, colds. In short, basically anything you can suffer from.

To know what disturbs the balance, I test through a simple muscle test via the long arm test using test tubes whether one reacts strongly or weakly to a certain substance.
To restore the balance, the body is reset with balance and breathing techniques, visualizations and tapping on the back. Via nerves on the back, your brain receives a signal. Your body learns again to respond normally to that which until then has been seen as a disturbance.
Thus, disruptive patterns can be transformed. After resetting, your body no longer reacts allergically to the substance. Complaints diminish or disappear.

Nutritional and Orthomolecular Advice

Orthomolecular nutrition, optimal nutrition for the cells, begins where mainstream medicine ends. Optimal Nutrition is the basis of our health.
Research shows that our current diet is deficient in vitamins, minerals and trace elements. Even with a balanced diet, we often no longer get enough nutrients. In addition, our bodies are increasingly burdened by stress, heavy metals, air pollution, pesticides, hormone use and the use of colorings and flavorings, among other things. As a result, shortages develop in the body so that the body can no longer function optimally.
This can manifest itself in various complaints such as fatigue, headaches, gastrointestinal complaints, intolerances, reduced resistance, inflammation, etc.
With orthomolecular therapy, health can be stimulated to help the body recover using vitamins, minerals and other necessary nutrients.
In addition, it is important to scrutinize the diet and adjust where necessary. So that the replenishment of nutrient deficiencies are better absorbed and the removal of waste products is promoted. The body will filter and become stronger. This activates the body's self-healing ability.

Massage Methods

Singing Bowls Massage

In a singing bowl massage, you lie clothed on the treatment table. The body is massaged internally by the vibration of the singing bowls placed on and around your body. The singing bowls are struck, making you feel the vibrations going through your body. This gives a wonderful relaxing feeling. The tones of the singing bowl induce alpha waves in the brain. Alpha waves slow down thinking and can evoke a meditation state.
Our bodies are 55 to 60 percent water and thus conduct the vibrations beautifully throughout the body. Incidentally, not all organs are equally water-rich: the lungs are 90% water, the skin 80% and the brain 70%. The more water-rich an organ is the more resonance with sound is possible.
Sound vibrations act on our body and can release emotions or trigger memories.A massage with singing bowls releases inner blockages and works deeply on the physical, emotional-psychic and spiritual level. A singing bowl massage is a great way to relax and get in touch with yourself.

Manual Lymph Drainage

The lymphatic system is part of the immune system and consists of a network of vessels through which lymph flows.
Manual lymph drainage is a massage technique that uses specific hand movements to activate and stimulate the function of the lymphatic system. Through gentle, rhythmic pumping movements in the edema area, the drainage of lymph fluid through the lymphatic vessels increases.
Lymphatics have their own little muscles that "pump". This pumping action pushes the lymphatic fluid forward, so to speak.
Draining, the discharge of lymph, begins in the neck area. Then the axillary and inguinal glands in the healthy areas are massaged and the lymph flow activated. This creates space in the functioning parts of the body to receive lymph from the problem area. Then by massaging from the edema area to a healthy lymphatic area, an alternative drainage route is created. The last step is to massage into the edema area.

When is lymphatic drainage applied?
This treatment can be used well for lymphedema, and as part of a detoxification process. But it is always part of a combination of treatments.

Energetic Methods

Quantum Touch

With Quantum Touch, developed by life force scientist Richard Gordon, the hands of the practitioner are placed around the disturbed area. A light touch creates a high-frequency vibrational field between the hands, creating resonance. This triggers the self-healing power (the biological intelligence). This relaxes the whole area and encourages the body to begin healing again. Pain, emotional and psychological symptoms disappear or diminish. Treatment always begins with the hip/pelvic area and the head. These are the two main (basic) areas from which complaints arise in the body. During a treatment the client can keep the clothes on.

Reiki

Reiki belongs to alternative medicine and is commonly referred to as "energy healing" or "healing.Energy healing has been used in various forms for centuries.
Reiki is performed in a quiet environment. The patient will lie in on the treatment table, fully clothed. There may or may not be music, depending on the patient's preference.
You receive the reiki energy through the hands of the practitioner.
The practitioner places his hands lightly on or over specific parts of the head, limbs and torso with assistance, for 2 to 5 minutes. The hands can be placed on different parts of the body.
Energy medicine aims to help the flow of energy flow again and remove blockages in a similar way to acupuncture or acupressure.
This can allow relaxation, reduce symptoms, accelerate healing and give you new insights. Reiki does what is best for you, which is different for everyone.
